Over the years I’ve come to understand -and appreciate- the fact that one way or another we’re all broken. In my case, I try to put myself together mostly through exercising and reading and writing.

I've heard of Kintsugi. What a beautiful analogy for what God can do to make beauty out of our brokenness! And how hopeful, too, that He will not allow us to stay in our broken state but redeem it if we cooperate with Him.

Love this! I had a Kintsugi cake for my wedding cake: https://butterand.com/collections/birthday-cakes/products/marble-kintsugi-fresh-flowers-cake

My cake was a 3 tier cake, either tier had the kintsugi design!

Haha I am now divorced, but still have amazing memories of the wedding.

Hey Jesse, I just ran into Kintsugi online when I hit a big, beautiful, purple, embossed, flowered bowl that cost a $46 with a bottle of Tequila and smashed a piece off of it! It was a birthday present for my lovely 91 yr old Mother in law who loves to cook as bake for us. She has been a big support as I recovered from a severe Lyme infection. I originally bought it for myself, but decided immediately it was really hers. I almost cried. I was on my way to give it to her when I absentmindedly whacked it with my sister’s belated Birthday gift of my favorite Tequila! What the heck! Who does that??? I had splurged for the bowl in a near by city. We were strapped for cash—but it was unique and beautiful! I looked up how to fix ceramic and Was intrigued by the beautiful process. I don’t know that she would like it, but I was amazed by it, and have wanted to experiment with it.

I've never heard of Kintsugi, but this was a great piece of writing that demonstrated perfectly the redemption we can gain from our amazing God!

Yes. God is ever and always will put things in our path that point us back to Him. May we praise Him for His great mercy to us.
